Scorch Config Software

We offer Scorch users a free IBM PC software program that allows you to configure your controller.  You will first need to install the Scorch driver to use this configuration tool.  This PC software allows you to remap buttons, adjust button sensitivity and adjust the rapid fire on your controller.  This configuration tool contains both the full set of PC and xBox features required to get the most out of your Scorch controller.

Conditions Of Use

Our software upgrades are free.  They are specially designed for Scorch and are not for any other product.  You may download the software to your computer and you can pass the file around however you may not charge a fee for this file.  By downloading and using this file you agree to be bound to the terms and conditions of use.  Please read through the entire Terms of Use that is posted on our site for full details. 

There are three software programs available to you.  The first is the IBM PC Scorch driver.   The second is the Firmware upgrade. Third is the configuration tool.

Very Important:

This Config Software requires and will only work with the new Driver and the new Firmware.  We strongly suggest you install the driver and firmware to benifit from the next Config software versions.Scorch Modes

To enter set up mode plug the dongle into your USB port while holding the dongle button and releasing the dongle button as soon as its in the port.  Anytime you are doing Firmware upgrades or using the Configuration tool, Scorch will need to be in setup mode.
 

When Scorch is in setup mode the mouse functions are turned off and you may need a second mouse to manouver through the software.
 

Download the Config Software

Note:  This software is compatible with XP, Vista32, Vista64, Windows7 and Windows7-64bit.

2) After downloading Select Run from the download box.

3) Allow the software to install.

This sofware installation should be straight forward.  Let us know if you see needed improvements.

To use the sofware you have to be in setup mode.  To enter set up mode press and hold the dongle button while putting it into the USB port. Release the button as soon as the dongle is in the port.  The software is easy to use.  You can drag the buttons around the screen to set the button mapping the way you want to play. If at any time you want to reset the controller, press Default and save.

Never take your dongle out of the USB port when it is being updated as it will brick your controller.

Special Features
This software has special features to test your mouse pad.  A proper mouse pad can make the difference between silky smooth play and choppy play. Test different surfaces, textures, colors and pads to find the best pad suited to your game style. We suggest a fine textured mouse pad as that will give you finer game play.
