Setting Your Mouse

FRAGnStein is designed for all games and does have a wide range.  Each player will have their favourite settings. 

The difference between jerky mouse movement and a smooth game play is important. Please use these guidlines to set your mouse to the smoothest and fastest game play. These settings are sent to us by gamers.

Basic steps to calibrate your Mouse

Using the newest firmware:

A) Start your game as usual and set the game controller speed to a faster setting than what you normally play at.
B) Hold the mouse F button while rolling the mouse wheel forward or backward until the game stops rolling. When the mouse stops rolling - thats F0 and will be the most smooth for all games.
c) Hold the mouse F button again and press the mouse wheel to the left to slow the mouse down and to the right to speed it up again. 

Each gamer will have their own methods to play on the PS3.  If your a fast player you may want to increase the game speed faster and adjust the mouse speed by pressing the mouse wheel to the side to get the desired speed.

The fast firmware is recommended for MAG and UnCharted2, while the smooth firmware option is suggested for all other games.

 
Settings

When using FRAGnStein as a PS3 Controller there are 27 different mouse speeds.  A light does not flash to show you which setting your on as there are too many settings to show by flashing lights.

Mouse Pads

Gamers tend to use their own mouse pads.  To get the most out of your FRAGnStein a fine textured mouse pad is suggested.  The laser on the mouse is very sensitive and it sees the smallest of divets in the mouse pad surface.  In short - the finer the texture on the pad - the finer the game movements. will be 

The second feature to a great mouse pad is the surface friction.  A very smooth surface or a course surface will cause the hand to have less smooth movements with the mouse. Both a cloth knit pad and the C4Gen pads work very well.  The clith knit pads can be purchased from Walmart for a low cost.  The major difference between the cloth pads and the C4Gen pad is that the mouse does move much smoother and consistent accross the C4Gen pads. Both will give you excellent fine movements.however

In the Config software you will see a mouse pad test.  If your pad is sensed in the red area it indicates your mouse pad is not as good as it can be.  Try different surfaces with this test and you will be able to determine which mouse pad is best.

To enable the mouse pad sensor in the config utility press and hold the dongle button while putting the dongle into the USB port.  Release the button as soon as its in the port.  Turn on the mouse and the sensor will show the mouse pad reflection.

When using FRAGnStein as a PC mouse you will have 4 adjustments.  A light on the power button will indicate which setting you are on when you press and hold the mouse F button.
